Manual Lymphatic Drainage (Vodder Method)
MLD is a gentle yet powerful form of bodywork. This therapy utilizes slow rhythmic pumping movements creating a skin stretching action that increases lymph drainage and production. It is extremely useful for post operative/surgical swelling and injury healing!
MLD helps reduce stress and fatigue, as well as promote general relaxation and detoxification. It has been shown to aid in relief from symptoms of migraine headaches, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis and more.
NOTE: this treatment only applies to mild or medically uncomplicated lymphedema. Please consult your physician or seek a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) if you are experiencing *chronic* or medically complicated lymphedema or lipedema.
